What does MRV mean?

MRV stands for the monitoring, reporting and verification of carbon dioxide emissions and other relevant information, such as cargo carried, distance sailed or time spent at sea.


Who must participate?

The regulation applies to all vessels above 5,000 GT which carry cargo or passengers for commercial purposes and which plan to call at a European port on 1 January 2018 or later.
